White & Clayton Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to champion safety, health, and environmental management on site. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for promoting and developing a positive safety culture across all three sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the business expert on all Health and Safety matters, ensuring compliance with UK safety standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain a robust safety and environmental management system, implementing and monitoring site health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and plant inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with senior functional leaders to develop and implement effective safety and environmental strategies.
- Ensure appropriate budget is allocated and spent on health and safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a management or head of SHE role within Food manufacturing.
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety law and proven track record of implementation and maintenance.
- Expert knowledge of best practice, industry standards, and implementation.
- Good knowledge of Environmental/Sustainability practices and ability to adopt and implement.
- Understanding of local Government departments and ability to proactively engage with key stakeholders.
- NEBOSH and Health and Safety qualified.
