The Role

The Supply Chain Manager (Supplier Development Manager) will utilize their career experience and knowledge to ensure effective supplier performance, capability, and risk management. Working across multiple projects in a fast-paced commercial environment, you will deliver the following key duties:

  • Improve supplier performance (delivery and quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies.
  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers on a day-to-day basis and report into designated projects, detailing performance and managing supply chain risks.
  • Conduct capacity audits to identify key bottlenecks, yield, resources, and sub-tier mapping activities to form an industrial view of suppliers.
  • Assess supply chain and supplier capability for both current and future projects.
  • Conduct supply chain analysis and deliver reports to senior management level.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background in supply chain management, including experience in supplier development. You will have strong problem-solving skills and an understanding of techniques such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within supply chain. This supply chain experience will be coupled with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
