About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Interim Category Manager at Arguile Search. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new suppliers, with a focus on Small to Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). You will work closely with these suppliers to increase their engagement and integrate them into our contract framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish relationships with new suppliers, including SMEs, to enhance their volume and ensure seamless onboarding under contract.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop strategies that align with business objectives and drive growth.
  • Manage supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align supplier strategies with business objectives, promoting a collaborative and results-driven environment.
  • Support procurement processes, including tendering, negotiation, and contract management, to ensure seamless execution and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Security Clearance: SC clearance is essential for this role.
  • Sector Experience: Proven experience within the defence technology sector is required, with a strong understanding of the industry's dynamics and challenges.
  • Strong track record in category management, particularly in engaging and developing SME suppliers, with a focus on building long-term relationships and driving business growth.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid working environment, with a strong emphasis on flexibility and adaptability.
