Site & Facilities Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Site & Facilities Lead Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems in Barrow. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the redevelopment of our site in preparation for the next generation Nuclear deterrent.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deploy processes for Site, Facilities & Infrastructure projects, including Requirements Management, Verification and Validation.
- Ensure processes align with industry good practice and national/international standards, such as ISO 15288 and the BSRIA Soft Landings Framework.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training to Project Managers, Project Engineering Managers, and other stakeholders on process implementation.
- Maintain understanding of industry best practice and ongoing developments in Systems Engineering and Soft Landings.
- Manage integration of multi-discipline engineering teams who interface with the Asset Management System from across multiple projects and programmes.
- Knowledge and experience of Systems Engineering processes/approaches to large-scale infrastructure development, specifically in relation to Requirements Management and Handover/Acceptance.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject or a degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in design, engineering, maintenance, commissioning, handover, operational, and asset management processes.
- Understanding of capability development and management approaches and techniques.
- Understanding of systematic approach to training principles.
- Nuclear and Radiological engineering knowledge and associated regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of the BSRIA Soft-Landings Framework (or equivalent).
- Membership of a relevant professional engineering body (e.g. Chartered Engineer and/or Systems Engineering Professional (SEP)).
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in large-scale site & facilities infrastructure projects in high-hazard industries such as Aerospace & Defence, Nuclear, Rail, Water, Pharma, Oil & Gas, and Construction.
The salary for this role is £56,000 to £61,000 plus a performance-related bonus of 10-20%.
