About the Role

The NHS is seeking a skilled and dedicated Flu Vaccination Nurse to join our team in delivering high-quality immunisation services to children in schools.

Main Responsibilities
  • Vaccinate 20 to 25 schoolchildren per hour during the flu season, ensuring a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote and support the operation of our School Aged Immunisation Service, working closely with colleagues to achieve our goals.
  • Deliver an effective, evidence-based, and competent level of care to patients, prioritising their safety and well-being.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and the performance and development of staff, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Ensure all clinical incidents, near misses, and complaints are reported, monitored, and processed in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Attend clinical supervision with the Clinical Lead as directed, staying up-to-date with the latest best practices and guidelines.
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Person SpecificationExperience
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development, demonstrating a commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Understanding of the Routine National Immunisation schedule, ensuring that patients receive the most effective and up-to-date care.
  • Assertive, team player, and critical thinker, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Nurses and Midwives currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), holding a valid registration.
  • Nursing and/or Midwifery Qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices.
