We are seeking a Lead Electrical Technician to become a vital part of our manufacturing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a seasoned manufacturing or production technician to advance into a leadership position within the manufacturing and wiring department. We are looking for an individual who can actively contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our client's pilot production line.


Salary:
£32,000-£36,000

Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate team efforts to drive continuous improvement and consistently exceed KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, waste reduction, health and safety, and quality.
  • Oversee the installation of wiring and related electrical components within the H-Power Generator, adhering to specified guidelines and approved wiring schedules.
  • Provide mentorship and training to fellow team members.
  • Ensure strict compliance with standardized work practices and procedures to maintain consistency and quality throughout the assembly process.
  • Work closely with the mechanical team to determine optimal part placement for effective wiring integration.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical design team to refine designs, promoting efficient manufacturing and seamless installation of the final product.
  • Assist in monitoring and managing the use of consumables and tools to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in electrical wiring, covering both high and low-power applications.
  • Capability to implement Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma strategies within a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Potential to assume a leadership role in the future.
  • Previous experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial wiring is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and effectively executing wiring schedules and schematic diagrams.
  • Skilled in hand soldering techniques and proficient with various crimping tools.
  • Competent in using hand tools essential for electrical assembly tasks.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
