Job Title: Psychology Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEN Learning Support Assistant. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in helping students with diverse needs achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN and SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver integrated support.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage and facilitate students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.
  • Support students during school activities, including excursions and special events.
  • Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Requirements:
  • A degree in psychology or a related field.
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in an educational or care setting is desirable but not essential.
