Nursery Practitioner Role

This fantastic nursery located in the Crawley area is seeking a qualified Nursery Practitioner to join their expanding team. The organisation is situated close to local transport links and holds a Good Ofsted rating.
Your New RoleAs a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day running of the classes, supporting the children, and using your initiative to help them succeed. You will be working in a nursery that plans the environment around the inspiration of Reggio Emilia, providing exciting learning opportunities for children to use all their natural creative skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the care and welfare of children in the setting, ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures, the Childcare Act 2006, and Health and Safety legislation.
- Support the children's learning and development, being a positive role model for colleagues and children.
- Manage children's behaviour effectively, communicating with parents and working on strategies where appropriate.
- Liaise with parents to ensure effective communication within the nursery, assisting with regular parents' evenings, open days, and outings with the children.
The successful candidate will have experience within a day nursery setting and be able to show enthusiasm and dedication in offering high-quality education to all children. An understanding of how children learn is essential, and a willingness to learn is essential in our ever-developing world.
You will need to have NVQ Level 2 or 3 Child Care Qualification, have worked within a Nursery/primary/pre-prep environment in the last 2 years, and be able to provide a reference. A clean enhanced DBS Check on the update service is also required.
