Job Description

Nelson Permanent Placements Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the growth and success of the company's Facilities Management Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead successful projects and work within a large site team to deliver projects on time and in line with contractual obligations.
  • Orchestrate and evaluate the design and installation process with various stakeholders and end-user clients.
  • Assist and prepare conceptual and detailed project documentation within a team.
  • Provide customer-facing support with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and company quality documents to provide commercial assistance.
  • Maintain a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with project procedures.
  • Organize and prioritize work effectively, as well as support others in the team.
  • Manage Electrical operatives for packages of work, including relevant sub-contractors.
  • Work to a detailed programme of works, embracing all stages of the construction process to deliver projects on time and in line with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure successful implementation and completion of projects, including commissioning and handover procedures, and achieve total customer satisfaction.
  • Have knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards, as well as design criteria pertinent to the design, engineering, and construction of power, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.
  • Liaise with Technical Managers to ensure design and works comply with client design/engineering management and quality management system procedures.
  • Develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Good knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical building services.
  • HNC/HND in building services is advantageous.
  • Ability to develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.
  • Experience in all aspects of LV/HV power and lighting.
  • Understanding of the process of delivery for NEC projects.
  • Experience in BMS and Controls is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to read drawings and schematics and schedules.
  • Understanding of the RIBA plan of works and BSRIA BG6.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with GRIP 4 design platforms.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience on Rail and LUL projects (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong team player.
  • Full, clean driving license.
