Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Social Care Service at West Berkshire Council. As an essential car user, you will be based at our Market Street Offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individuals' needs and develop tailored care plans.
  • Provide practical support, equipment, and adaptations to empower individuals to maintain their independence.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions and rehabilitation programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and provide reports as required.
Requirements
  • A recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience working within a social care setting, ideally supporting adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users, carers, and professionals.
  • The ability to manage a caseload, prioritizing and organizing your work effectively.
  • A commitment to promoting independence, dignity, and empowerment for individuals.
