Job Summary

We are seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team and assist with financial control on various major UK infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our Senior Quantity Surveyors and be responsible for managing the day-to-day bill of quantities for allocated projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of the day-to-day bill of quantities for allocated projects to ensure financial efficiencies
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on achieving value for money
  • Analyze subcontractor valuations
  • Focus on cost control in line with the company's financial systems
  • Liaise with procurement teams as required to ensure compliance with financial parameters
  • Assist in the production and monitoring of Applications/Final Accounts
  • Check agreed subcontract Applications/Accounts
  • Document control
  • Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy
  • Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors, and external contacts
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at various levels
  • Excellent written and oral English language
  • Degree or Master's in Quantity Surveying (industry-related disciplines considered)
  • Motivated to learn and add value to the team, the role, and the Graduate program
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving
  • Proven team player who can effectively work with others
  • Enjoys working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proactive approach to working and learning
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the industry
  • Familiar with all Microsoft packages
  • Right to work in the UK by the start of employment
