Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Health and Social Care Educator to join our team as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Health and Social Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Learning: Provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting, with a focus on Foundation year in Health and Social Care.
  • Tutoring: Tutor students, offering tailored support to help them achieve their academic goals and progress positively.
  • Course Development: Contribute actively to the development and continual improvement of courses, collaborating effectively with both staff and students.
  • Module Development: Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Provide/Deliver/Facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the Learning Outcomes and syllabuses of modules, deploy assessments appropriately, and establish measures to understand the learning needs of students on their modules.
  • Student Support: Support students with timely formative feedback as prescribed by each of the program specifications, mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline set by the Assessment Team.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with the expectations of the Programme Specification of respective Awarding Bodies and Universities under which modules are being taught, produce appropriate module/unit reports.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, contribute to the School's Research Department in the Holborn campus.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area, teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, or FHEA, etc.
  • Experience: Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at the Higher Education level, proficiency in utilizing Blackboard/VLEs, MS Teams, and Zoom.
  • Desirable Requirements: Experience working in the industry related to Health and Social Care.
