We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Intensive Support Team, providing specialist services to children and young people with severe and persistent speech and/or language disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to children and young people with complex communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including speech, language, and communication evaluations, to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Design and deliver evidence-based interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to address communication goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including education, health, and social care professionals, to ensure seamless service delivery and coordination.
- Participate in service development, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects to advance the field of speech and language therapy.
- Provide supervision, mentorship, and training to junior staff members, promoting professional growth and development.
- Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health Professionals Council (HPC).
- Significant post-graduate training and experience working with children and young people with complex communication needs.
- Highly developed knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy, including assessment, diagnosis, and intervention techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including families, carers, and professionals.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
