Our client, a reputable Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Maintenance and Repair Service Provider, is seeking a skilled HGV / Plant Fitter to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role:

  • Carrying out vehicle maintenance, including servicing, inspections, defect repairs, MOT preparations, and breakdowns, as well as any other work requested by the Manager.
  • You must be able to demonstrate good communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with vehicle maintenance software and equipment operation is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Repair and replace defective parts, and perform any necessary adjustments.
  • Assist with MOT testing and vehicle inspections as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.
