Manpower Careers is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our team in Longtown. Our client is a well-established logistics company with over 80,000 employees across 1,300 locations in over 100 countries.
Job Summary:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering, collecting, and returning goods safely and efficiently. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver, collect, and return goods safely and efficiently
- Comply with all relevant legislation and agreed procedures to ensure a safe and legal working environment
- Responsible for the security of the vehicle and load at all times
- Report vehicle defects and ensure that the defect is documented
- Comply with Driver's regulations and Working Time Directive in line with the O License legislation and Company procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid Class 1 Driver's license and a good understanding of the O License legislation. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
