We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a HGV Chargehand/Technician at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting the Technician team within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and assist the Technician team in the workshop, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct weekly/monthly R&A (Ava) inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workshop environment at all times.
- Assist in the allocation of daily work and prioritization of tasks, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time.
- Monitor new oil levels and ensure timely orders are placed.
- Monitor waste oil levels weekly and organize collections.
- Manage the workshop's daily workload, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Monitor contractors working on site, ensuring they are signed in and their induction is up-to-date.
- Ensure accurate Labour & Parts input on Tranman Tablets.
- Assist with weekly Team Safe, near miss reports, off-job cards, and inspection reports.
- Assist with the Parts Department.
- Perform other general work as required by the Workshop Management Team.
- City & Guilds, or NVQ level 3 qualification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, actively seek solutions to problems, and have flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks.
- IT skills.
- MOT regulations knowledge.
