The Role:
University College Birmingham is in search of an innovative Associate Vice-Chancellor to advance our mission towards excellence in student achievement.

Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and Principal, as the Associate Vice-Chancellor (Chief Academic Officer & Student Success), you will spearhead the formulation and execution of a transformative strategy aimed at enhancing student success at UCB, across all phases of the academic experience.

Your role will encompass providing executive leadership and strategic oversight to our Pro-Vice-Chancellors and heads of essential departments, including student recruitment, marketing, admissions, and learning services, while also enhancing our employability initiatives.

To excel in this position, you must possess a thorough understanding of the regulatory and commercial challenges confronting post-92 institutions in Higher Education, as well as the evolving expectations of students, alongside a comprehensive grasp of OfS registration conditions concerning access, participation, and outcomes.

You will be a proficient strategic collaborator and a seasoned, natural executive leader, dedicated to ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds can attain optimal outcomes, and have a proven history of leading transformative change and sustainable enhancements, particularly in student services, recruitment, and employability.
