About the Role

Roke is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Officer to join our Programme Management Office (PMO) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our National Security Business Unit, driving the balance between customer needs and delivering strong financial and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery Support: Deliver defined PMO services to enable the Business Unit, including delivery management support, tracking and monitoring of cross-project dependencies, bid management support, and policy and process conformance.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Coordinate the production of reports to support governance, collating, analysing, evaluating, and manipulating data, records, and other information. Maintain libraries, registers, and systems.
  • Training and Support: Provide education, training, and first-line support on agreed P3M procedures, processes, and tools.
  • Senior Management Support: Support senior management in championing and embedding P3M practices across the organisation.
  • Service Ownership: Undertake the role of owner for one or more P3M services for the organisation.
  • PMO Service Catalogue: Lead on the development and socialisation of the PMO service catalogue for the Business Unit.
  • Mentoring and Support: Support the wider team in a mentoring capacity.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Undertake such other reasonable duties, commensurate with the job holder's experience and qualifications, as may be required for the smooth operation of the business.
Requirements
  • PMO Experience: Experience driving the development of PMO processes through requirement definition, solution development, process documentation, rollout, and benefits realisation.
  • Communication Skills: Able to demonstrate a proactive approach and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Delivery Experience: Experience working within a busy PMO or project delivery environment.
  • Mentoring Experience: Experience mentoring other team members.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform applications to support PMO service enhancement.
  • Qualifications: Preferably an appropriate P3M qualification (P3O, APM, MoP, MSP, Prince2 etc.).
