About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Structural Engineer to join our Bridge Design Teams at Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering challenging bridge design and maintenance schemes, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take autonomy of your own work and be responsible for all aspects of the project, including bridge assessment, maintenance, strengthening, or replacement schemes.
  • Develop and implement structural design solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with our Bridge Design Teams to deliver high-quality designs that meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and assess the condition of bridges and other structures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Educated to Degree level in Civil or Structural Engineering or significant relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of structural behaviour, design codes, materials, and proficient in computer analysis.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales and budgets are met.
  • In-depth understanding of current Eurocodes, British Standards, and assessment codes.
  • Working knowledge of the application of structural analysis programs.
  • Good communication skills and a high standard of report writing.
  • Sound understanding of the CDM Regulations.
  • Current divers' licence is essential as the role requires travel to various locations within Hampshire.
