We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Purchasing Team at Pets Choice Ltd. This is a new role to support our growing business that will focus on sourcing materials, commodities, and ingredients used at our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative supplier partnerships to support a lean and profitable supply chain.
  • Manage supplier performance and implement scorecards to align business objectives on cost, quality, OTIF, lead-times, etc.
  • Identify areas of risk in the supply chain, prioritize, and implement plans to mitigate such risks.
  • Conduct contract negotiation and ongoing market analysis and report conclusions.
  • Conduct logistic analysis to determine the most cost-effective and efficient methods with both suppliers and customers (cost to serve).
  • Provide support to the business during the execution of larger projects, including NPD and innovation pipeline.

Requirements:

  • Contract negotiation skills.
  • Relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer literate.
  • Experience gained from the Food or Pet Food Industry is highly desirable.

Working Arrangements:

This role will involve hybrid working in our Head Office in Blackburn, with 3 days per week and 2 days per week working from home.
