Job Title: Adult Social Care Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Adult Social Care Officer to join our team at Midsomer Norton Primary. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our students with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver person-centered care and support to students with complex needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with our education team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting student independence and self-advocacy.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment, adhering to our safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential care and SEND.

Requirements:

  • QCF (NVQ) level 3 (or above) Qualification in Residential Care (or an Equivalent) is required.
  • Experience of working with SEND children or adults is highly desirable, but not essential.

About Us:

Midsomer Norton Primary is a residential academy for boys, aged 8-19, with 50 students on roll. We deliver both education and care to a wide range of young people with SEND, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Speech, Language and Communication needs (SLCN), and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). Our residential aspect enables students to access an extensive range of extracurricular experiences, stability, and time to build confidence and skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.
