Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our highly skilled and knowledgeable chemotherapy outpatients team as a Senior Staff Nurse - Chemotherapy Specialist. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to a small team of nurses and be responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Clinical Leadership: The post-holder will provide an integrated clinical leadership to a small team of nurses within the Service Team in order to care for patients with cancer to the highest possible standard and develop practice with the support of the ward manager.
- Deliver Patient-Focused Programmes: The post-holder works as a skilled practitioner and is responsible for the delivery of patient-focused programmes of care, which address the complex and changing health and well-being needs of the client group in his/her clinical area.
- Manage Chemotherapy Service: When working at Bracknell Clinic or West Berkshire Community Hospital, the post-holder manages the chemotherapy service on a day-to-day basis reporting to Ward manager at RBH.
- Operational Management: To assume responsibility for the operational management of staff and resources in order to provide a safe environment; in the absence of the ward sister, taking a lead in a specific aspect of ward management.
Education/Qualifications:
- Registered Adult Nurse (Pt 1/2)
- Completion of UKONS SACT passport or equivalent
- Evidence of leadership/management
Experience:
- Experience of SACT administration
- Experience of Leadership/Management and Specialty Development
