Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Quarry Manager / Supervisor, your primary duties as a Welder Fabricator will include:

• Executing welding and fabrication tasks on heavy materials such as steel and alloys.
• Addressing breakdowns of both mobile and stationary plant equipment, ensuring efficient repairs to minimize downtime while adhering to safety and maintenance protocols.
• Enhancing plant performance through continuous improvement efforts while maintaining safety and reliability standards.
• Contributing to the development of the Computer Maintenance Management System.
• Supporting maintenance and operations by maintaining documentation and guidelines for safe equipment maintenance.
• Utilizing various tools and equipment, including jigs, fixtures, grinders, and air drills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The Welder Fabricator role is multifaceted and rewarding, requiring:

• Proven experience in welding and fabrication.
• Level 3 Apprentice training or ONC/NVQ Level 3 in a related discipline is advantageous, though experience is crucial.
• Familiarity with engineering maintenance principles and experience in a heavy engineering context.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and fabricate to specified tolerances.
• A valid UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points, as the role involves site visits.
