Position Overview

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is looking for a dedicated Systemic Family Therapist to enhance our multidisciplinary team. This role involves providing comprehensive family therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families facing various mental health challenges.

Employment Type

This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for relocation support.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality family therapy interventions.
  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to team members.
  • Engage in training initiatives to foster systemic thinking within the team.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of clinical skills across the service.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • A relevant degree and a recognized postgraduate qualification in Family Therapy or an equivalent qualification at the Master's level or higher.
  • Professional registration in a relevant regulated profession, such as nursing, social work, or clinical psychology.
  • UKCP registration as a family/systemic psychotherapist.
  • Extensive knowledge of systemic theory and practice.
  • Understanding of research methodologies applicable to family therapy.
  • Awareness of relevant legislation affecting clinical practice.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development as recommended by UKCP/AFT.

Experience

Essential experience includes:

  • Working as a registered family/systemic psychotherapist.
  • Implementing evidence-based family interventions.
  • Coordinating care within a multidisciplinary framework.

Desirable experience includes:

  • Direct work with children and young people.
  • Experience in Care Coordination under relevant mental health measures.
  • Involvement in teaching, training, or supervision activities.
