Job Title:
Prototype Welder

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Prototype Welder to join our team at Optima UK Inc Ltd. As a Prototype Welder, you will be responsible for MIG/TIG welding to a high quality and working at speed to ensure targets are met. You will work with mild steel and have experience working with blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
• MIG/TIG weld to a high quality and work at speed to ensure targets are met
• Work with mild steel and have experience working with blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Quality check finished products
• Record and report any issues

Requirements:
• Over 12 months experience as a Welder
• Read blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Knowledge of using measuring equipment to quality check work
• Fettling and grinding sheet metal work
• Quality check finished products
• Record and report any issues
• Manual handling of different tools to complete the job to the highest standards set
