Job Description

We are pleased to be partnered with an established & growing forwarder in the Essex area who are on the hunt for an Export Manager / Supervisor to join their team:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with overseas agents and shipping lines to negotiate rates and provide quotations to customers
  • Working with agents and freight companies to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Understanding customs clearance procedures, including experience with CDS, CNS, Destin8, and raising entries for both imports and exports
  • Managing LCL/FCL sea freight, airfreight, road freight, and courier services
  • Acting as a Key Account Manager for specific customers and handling all aspects of their shipments
  • Negotiating with a variety of hauliers to secure competitive rates

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in export logistics and management
  • Strong background in working with agents and freight companies
  • Solid understanding of customs clearance procedures
  • Experience with LCL/FCL sea freight, airfreight, road freight, and courier services
  • Ability to act as a Key Account Manager for specific customers
  • Skills in engaging with a variety of hauliers to negotiate competitive rates
