We are seeking an End User Computing Support Specialist to become a vital member of our End User Computing Team.

The EUC Support Specialist will deliver advanced technical knowledge and assistance for all hardware and software utilized within the organization, while also overseeing the comprehensive management of the Windows and mobile device inventory.

This role involves identifying, recommending, and implementing innovative technologies that align with business needs and empower the organization to sustain a competitive advantage.

Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid role, requiring occasional presence in the office as necessary.

Team Overview:

The EUC Support Specialist will collaborate within the End User Computing Team, part of Bauer's Group Infrastructure & Operations function, focusing on the UK divisions.
The team is dedicated to ensuring that services and products operate efficiently and securely, while also ensuring timely fulfillment of requests and rapid resolution of incidents. Balancing continuity with innovation is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the availability, security, and currency of EUC infrastructure and back-office services.
  • Manage diagnosis, troubleshooting, escalation, and notifications for EUC-related challenges.
  • Oversee application packaging, operating system and software deployment, and support technologies for remote personnel and Unified Communication tools.
  • Assess new technologies to foster business growth and deliver technical solutions.
  • Take ownership of and resolve EUC service issues, create procedural documentation, and share knowledge with colleagues to enhance skill levels.
  • Communicate pertinent information to the line manager and team.

Qualifications and Expertise:

  • Microsoft 365 Certification (preferred).
  • Previous experience as an EUC specialist.
  • Extensive experience providing third-line technical support for Windows 10/11 operating systems and associated hardware, including collaboration with device OEM technical support when necessary.
  • Subject matter expertise in Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and experience with operating system deployment and task sequences.
  • Broad experience in packaging and patching enterprise software, utilizing tools such as PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit and PatchMyPC.
  • Proficient in managing Microsoft Group Policy in a large organizational context.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Defender for Endpoint security suite.
  • Familiarity with other Microsoft patching and security technologies, including WSUS, LAPS, BitLocker, Defender ASR, and Defender Application Control.
  • Good understanding of Application and Desktop Virtualization technologies, including Microsoft RDS/RemoteApp and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Solid working knowledge of Intune and both MAM and MDM technologies for managing corporate Windows devices as well as BYO and corporate-owned mobile devices.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills with a focus on automation and integration with third-party APIs.
  • Experience with deployment and technical support of the Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise suite, including Microsoft Teams.
  • Proficient in cloud-based end-user compute support technologies such as TeamViewer Tensor, Absolute (Computrace), Google Zero Touch, Apple Business Manager, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
