Halmer Recruit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Warehouse & Logistics Manager with day-to-day warehouse duties, including loading and unloading of lorries, containers, and raw goods.
- Take delivery of materials into the warehouse, checking quantity and quality, and storing them in a safe and organized manner.
- Move goods between and around the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to the production floor.
- Assist with daily cycle checks and end-of-year stock takes, maintaining accurate inventory records and reporting any discrepancies.
- Palletize and wrap finished goods for dispatch, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or goods in/out environment, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- A valid Full UK Driving Licence and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel.
- Knowledge of warehouse health and safety protocols, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.
- Forklift licence and experience with inventory management/automated warehousing systems are highly desirable.
- Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime offered.
- 37.5 hours per week, with flexible start times between 7:30am and 8:30am.
- Competitive salary of £25,000 per annum, with opportunities for career growth and development.
