Job Summary

Empowering Learning is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Modern Foreign Languages to lead our language curriculum and ensure outstanding provision of French and Spanish across the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive language curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Lead a team of language teachers and provide coaching and support to ensure excellent teaching and learning
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the language curriculum and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other subject leaders to ensure a cohesive and integrated curriculum
  • Develop and maintain relationships with language experts and organizations to stay up-to-date with best practices and research

Requirements

  • Proven experience of teaching French at Common Entrance, GCSE, or Senior level
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve student outcomes
  • Passion for language learning and a commitment to delivering high-quality language education
