About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Buying Administration Assistant to join our Buying team at New Look. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Buying process, ensuring seamless communication with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating buying activities, including preparing for departmental meetings and supporting the Buying team with data entry into the planning tool.
  • Raise purchase orders, work to the Critical Path to meet deadlines, and deal with issues arising with orders both internally and externally.
  • Take ownership of finding solutions, coordinate barcode processes, and maintain purchase orders in the Critical Path in the relevant system.
  • Assist the team with supplier slippage management, action order amendments under direction from the B&M team, and support commitment through weekly team updates.
  • Process samples received, label, log, organize, and file samples, prepare samples for meetings, and maintain the department's range and samples.
  • Drive the press sample process to ensure the department offers are fully potentialized, ensure production samples are received in time to pre-shoot for online sales, and maintain the latest imagery of samples.
  • Attend Group Trade meetings, demonstrate a basic understanding of trade reports and trade decisions, and actively contribute to trend and competitor analysis, making recommendations for changes or developments.
  • Complete and report back on NL store visits and competitor shops, and maintain ongoing familiarity of the competition's product range.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for fashion, accuracy, and confident communication skills. Previous experience working in Fashion/Retail and/or as a Buying Admin Assistant is desirable. A fashion qualification or other degree is also a plus.
