Financial Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Director to join our team at Watmos Community Homes. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial future of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Finance and Resources to develop and implement effective financial strategies, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and best practices.
  • Oversee the financial control and management of our income and expenditure, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, nominal ledger, rent ledger, payroll, treasury, and fixed asset register.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of our Assets and Liabilities Register.
  • Lead the production of financial statements for all parts of the Group, liaising with external auditors as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development of performance policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards of customer care in all aspects of finance-related work.

Requirements:

  • CCAB qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA, or relevant degree or qualified by experience to an equivalent level.
  • Experience in a senior finance role, with knowledge and experience of financial and management accounting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical skills, prioritisation, report writing, and IT skills, with the ability to efficiently use Microsoft Excel at an intermediate or advanced level.
