Job Title: Clinical Oncology Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at Nuffield Health Hospital Tunbridge Wells. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical pharmacy services to oncology and haemato-oncology patients, including medicines reconciliation, discharge medication organisation, and provision of drug information and clinical counselling.
  • Maintain pharmaceutical care plans for all oncology and haemato-oncology patients, ensuring seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Support and advise clinicians on safe prescribing within oncology, haemato-oncology, and peri-operative medicine, promoting evidence-based practice and adherence to current guidelines.
  • Coordinate the administration and delivery of SACT treatments to patients, maintaining effective communication with the Pharmacy dispensary and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs for colleagues, enhancing their knowledge and skills in oncology and haemato-oncology.
  • Liaise with other Nuffield Hospital oncology sites to share knowledge and expertise, promoting best practice and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • UK Registered Pharmacist with General Pharmaceutical Council registration.
  • Post-qualification experience within oncology and haemato-oncology, with the ability to screen and verify oncology and haemato-oncology regimes and prescriptions.
  • Knowledge of relevant hospital policies and procedures, with a strong understanding of current guidelines and best practice in oncology and haemato-oncology.
