Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Total Barrow in Furness

Reporting to: Projects Director

The Job: Our client is a manufacturing and engineering company specialising in process equipment packages. Within this facility, they have core skills allowing them to manufacture and test a wide range of equipment. They specialise in pipe welding and mechanical fitting in the following areas:

  1. Nuclear Industry
  2. Naval Defence Industry
  3. Skid Package Manufacture
  4. Utility Sector

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the delivery of all allocated projects to time, cost, and quality.
  2. Drive the design, development, and delivery of projects from concept to completion.
  3. Ensure all project tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and customer requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking on technical problems.
  2. Commercial awareness including knowledge of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contracts.
  3. Proficient user of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Degree level qualification in Engineering or similar.
  2. Project management qualification such as Prince 2, APM, or PMI.
  3. Formal engineering qualification minimum level HND/HNC.
