The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Pertemps Leeds. As a leader in our field, we take pride in our heritage and products while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.

The Role

We are looking for an individual with in-depth knowledge of servo motor systems, 3-phase AC/DC motors, encoders, feedback systems, and panel building. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in PLC/HMI troubleshooting and have experience working with electrical and automation equipment.

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Servo Motor Systems, including tuning and programming, and execute component replacements or repairs to uphold precise motion control standards
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of 3-phase AC and DC motors and their control systems, handling motor installations, wiring, and connections
  • Manage encoders and feedback systems for optimal position and speed control, conducting troubleshooting and replacements as needed
  • Assemble and wire electrical panels in accordance with schematics and wiring diagrams, ensuring compliance with safety records
  • Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of electrical and automation equipment
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, adjustments to PLC/HMI systems, and updates to electrical schematics and panel layouts
  • Work closely with Engineering and production teams and offer technical support when needed
The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work are essential. A driving license is necessary, and a cherry picker license would be an advantage but not necessary. Programming experience would be an advantage but not necessary.
