About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our engineering team at Omega. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the entire life cycle of projects, from initial conceptual designs to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the design and development of special purpose machines and test rigs
  • Work closely with our project manager to ensure timely delivery and meet customer specifications
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer requirements and translate them into detailed designs and specifications
  • Lead a team of engineers to design and develop complex machinery and automation systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate technical risks
Requirements
  • Relevant engineering degree and significant experience in design and development
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, electrical systems, power systems, fluid power, control and measurement, and software related to special purpose machines and test rigs
  • Excellent technical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Experience with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications
  • Chartered engineer or master's degree a plus
