Job Overview

We are currently looking for a dependable and enthusiastic individual to join our Food & Beverage Team at one of our premier establishments.

In this role, you will work under the guidance of our General Manager, gaining valuable experience while collaborating with a friendly team in a dynamic hospitality environment. Discover more about our workplace culture and why our employees enjoy being part of Hastings Hotels.

The successful candidate will work approximately 35 hours per week, across five shifts from a seven-day roster, including weekends. Shift patterns may include late finishes.

The salary for this full-time position is competitive, reflecting the importance of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the bar area is well-presented and provide an outstanding service of beverages and snacks to enhance guest enjoyment.
  • Serve food and drinks to guests, maintaining the highest service standards and meeting all guest expectations.
  • Handle cash, charges, floats, and till operations accurately.
  • Utilize bar equipment efficiently, ensuring proper measures are maintained to minimize waste.
  • Safeguard stock areas and report any security issues immediately.
  • Possess knowledge of hotel offerings and actively promote these to guests.
  • Address guest concerns with professionalism and report them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to foster a respectful and harmonious work environment.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile

While previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, it is not mandatory as comprehensive training will be provided by our Food and Beverage Managers.

Required Qualifications
