About the Role

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team at Binnies, an RSK Group Company. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and design capabilities to develop and deliver water and water recycling solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of civil designs, calculations, and specifications for water, wastewater, or pipeline projects.
  • Collaboration with CAD technicians to produce 3D models or 2D drawings.
  • Working within multi-discipline design teams to produce designs that meet required standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Drive excellence in Health and Safety in design by eliminating hazards and reducing risks.
  • Progress projects from feasibility stage through detailed design to construction.
  • Undertake site visits to assess current asset conditions for feasibility studies and reports.
  • Provide support to update existing and increase the number of Standard Products used in design solutions.
  • Identify and promote opportunities to meet project digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in undertaking design of various civil engineering structures within the Water and Waste Water Industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and relevant engineering design software packages.
  • Ability to interpret ground investigation reports and design solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Reporting and writing skills, with data analysis capabilities.
