Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Randstad Care. As a Residential Childcare Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour care and support to young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Administer medication and provide personal care to children.
  • Promote a positive parenting role model and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Ensure compliance with National Care Standards and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • 6 months of prior experience in a residential setting with young people aged below 16 years.
  • Flexibility in the roles undertaken and ability to work varied shifts.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Registration under the PVG scheme and full driving license (preferred).
  • Obtained or working towards SVQ level 3 and SVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable.
