Merrifield Consultants is seeking an experienced Major Gifts Research and Information Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Major Gifts and Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for leading research and information initiatives to support the growth of major gifts and philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement research strategies to identify funding priorities and opportunities for major gifts and philanthropy.
- Manage the Research and Information Executive, providing guidance and oversight on concept notes, proposals, and reports.
- Ensure that donor communications and reports align with the organization's values and commitment to anti-racism.
- Collaborate with the Major Gifts and Philanthropy team to develop strategies in line with organizational priorities.
- Provide clear and accurate written and verbal communication to influence senior staff and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in writing donor proposals and securing funds for significant donations from major donors and corporates.
- Specialist prospect research skills and an understanding of research methodologies and resources.
- Clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills to influence senior staff.
- Ability to translate complex information into engaging donor communications and reports.
- Experience of developing strategies in line with organizational priorities.
