Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join Tadpoles Daycare as a Level 5 Childcare Apprentice in a Nursery Manager role, covering Maternity Leave.

Tadpoles Daycare operates from a high-quality and modern environment, delivering the highest standard of teaching and care to our children. We aim to inspire a child's imagination in surroundings that promote the importance of learning.

We are looking for a passionate and approachable leader who is committed to staff development and early years education. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership style, effective communication skills, and the ability to develop good working relationships with parents and other professionals.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day management, running, and development of the nursery, leading on operational management and coordination of the childcare provision, including staff, children, and equipment. They will also be responsible for planning and implementing the Early Years Foundations Stages (EYFS) and working towards an outstanding level of care, while maintaining our Good Ofsted accreditation.

This role will involve a mix of managerial and in-room tasks, including financial operations, meeting targets, and managing occupancy levels. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality of provision, ensuring policies and procedures, best practice, and standards are maintained, and reporting to the Community Centre Manager and Tadpoles Committee.

Tadpoles Daycare operates between the hours of 08:00-16:30. A Level 3 Early Years Childcare Qualification is essential for this role.

GCSEs A-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent functional skills, are also required. The successful candidate must be able to obtain a clear DBS and have at least 2 years' experience of leadership within an Early Years Setting or suitable experience.

Management and childcare experience is essential. The ideal candidate will have Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, and Food Hygiene qualifications, as well as the ability to complete risk assessments and demonstrate a commitment to Continued Professional Development (CPD).
