Fire and Security Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire and Security Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a Fire and Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, service, repair, and maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation, service, repair, and maintenance of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site
  • Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team
  • Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe to
  • Work closely with other engineers and provide support and training to more junior members of the team
Requirements:
  • Ideal 3 years' experience working within a similar role
  • Good understanding of most systems, e.g., fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control
  • Knowledge of a range of manufacturers
  • Will to learn new systems
  • Full UK driving license or equivalent
  • Drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
  • Positive attitude and ability to self-motivate
  • Experience of an electrical background would also be very useful
