About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Humanities Teacher to join our dynamic team. As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive lessons in History, Geography, and related subjects across various key stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Deliver Dynamic Lessons: Create innovative and interactive lessons that capture students' imaginations and foster a love for learning.
  • Cultivate a Curious Classroom: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages all students to participate and explore.
  • Personalise Learning: Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of your students, ensuring everyone has the chance to succeed.
  • Monitor and Motivate: Assess student progress regularly and provide insightful, constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Innovate the Curriculum: Play a key role in developing the humanities curriculum, integrating relevant resources and innovative teaching methods.
  • Collaborate and Share: Work closely with colleagues to exchange best practices and continuously improve teaching and learning across the school.
  • Enrich the Experience: Engage in extra-curricular activities and school events, making the educational journey even more enriching for your students.
Requirements
  • A degree in Humanities (History, Geography, or a related field).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge across humanities disciplines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
