About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineering Team Lead to join our team at bet365. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers in the delivery of high-quality technical solutions to operational problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of technical solutions to operational problems.
  • Assess the quality and efficiency of deliverables and contribute to continuous improvements.
  • Maintain a skilled, engaged, and empowered team while ensuring efficient and effective processes and technology.
  • Work with a range of technologies including Python, Golang, JavaScript, Kafka, New Relic, Splunk, Influx, Grafana, and Ansible.
  • Collaborate with managers to support and enable Incident and Problem Management.

Requirements

  • Commercial experience leading engineering teams in the delivery of high-quality technical solutions.
  • Passion for working with technology and software development processes and practices.
  • Strong experience working in a large-scale, 24/7 enterprise environment.
  • Ability to take the lead while being adaptable and ensuring the best outcome for the business.
  • Well-organized and skilled in effective time management, people management, coaching, conflict resolution, task allocation, delegation, and risk management.
  • Keen interest in industry trends, particularly DevOps.
  • Strong appetite for learning.
  • Ability to handle and thrive under pressure, often multitasking and dealing with reprioritization of work.
  • Ability to be accountable, setting high expectations of your work and learning from mistakes in an open and transparent way.
