Role Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for advising clients to ensure compliance with employment tax regulations. Your expertise will help clients optimize their employee compensation and benefits structures in a cost-effective manner while mitigating risks and maximizing rewards. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough research on complex tax issues.
- Preparing detailed technical reports that are well-organized and informative.
- Communicating effectively with clients to provide clear and precise guidance, aiding their decision-making processes.
- Addressing a variety of tax topics, including PAYE settlement agreements, National Minimum Wage, HMRC inquiries, Global Mobility, IR35, supply chain due diligence, and salary sacrifice schemes.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and knowledgeable tax professional eager to engage with an intriguing corporate client base. Essential skills include:
- Strong research capabilities to navigate relevant tax legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
While experience in employment tax is advantageous, candidates with backgrounds in personal, corporate, or expatriate tax from UK practices, industry tax roles, or HMRC are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate the necessary skills. Relevant qualifications such as ATT, CTA, ACCA, or ACA are beneficial but not mandatory.
