Job Title: Electronic Engineering Consultant

At Polytechnicpositions, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electronic Engineering Consultant to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented individual to investigate the challenges of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices in high-performance power electronics converters. The successful candidate will work in our dedicated packaging laboratories at the Power Electronics and Machine Centre (PEMC) of the University of Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate the electrical and thermal modelling of wide-bandgap semiconductor devices
  • Develop and optimise packaging and electro-thermal solutions for high-performance power electronics converters
  • Collaborate with our team of experts in power electronics and electrical drives
  • Conduct research using state-of-the-art experimental facilities

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of power electronics converters and circuit design software
  • Good programming skills in MATLAB, Simulink, and C
