Position Overview

This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity within a newly established clinical facility.

The North Norfolk Macmillan Centre is designed to support various medical procedures, including minor surgeries in Dermatology and Urology, alongside venesections and BCG treatments. The facility comprises two local anesthetic procedure rooms and three outpatient rooms, where specialized clinics are conducted by experienced healthcare professionals.

We seek a dedicated and adaptable nurse who is eager to enhance their skills and provide surgical assistance in the operating room for the aforementioned specialties. While prior experience in these areas is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate.

Job Duties

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring compliance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and operating within your competency limits.
  2. Maintaining high standards of nursing care through evidence-based practices.
  3. Providing daily personal care to patients.
  4. Effectively communicating any changes in patient conditions to the multi-disciplinary team.
  5. Safeguarding the custody, supply, and administration of medications in line with Trust policies.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Registered Nurse on the relevant part of the NMC Register.
  • Completion of a mentorship preparation program (or willingness to complete upon employment).

Experience

Essential:

  • Recent nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Participation in clinical audits or patient reviews.
