Role Purpose
Are you a qualified social worker with a commitment to nurturing the future of social work professionals? Wiltshire Council presents a unique opportunity for you as a Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Co-ordinator.
This role is designed to empower you to influence the trajectory of social work within our community while also advancing your professional journey. You will collaborate closely with the Social Work Apprenticeship and Development Lead to oversee and enhance our expanding Social Work Apprenticeship initiative within Adult Social Care.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment and onboarding processes for apprentices, ensuring they receive exceptional educational experiences and support throughout their training.
- Oversee the placement of apprentices, making informed decisions to align them with suitable opportunities and addressing any challenges that may arise.
- Work in partnership with higher education institutions to uphold high educational standards and represent Wiltshire Council in relevant discussions.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be a registered social worker with Social Work England, possessing significant post-qualification experience. Experience as a Practice Educator or ASYE Assessor is preferred. Essential skills include strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of social care policy.
