Position Overview: The role focuses on delivering expert engineering support and outstanding customer service during the maintenance of various security systems, including CCTV, Intruder Alarms, and Access Control Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized technical support in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of PC/Network-based and analogue security systems, utilizing advanced software tools.
- Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing CCTV systems, from small installations to extensive multi-site setups featuring PC-based digital recorders.
- Possess a solid understanding of fibre optic transmission, LAN/WAN networks, and radio telemetry systems to effectively address any technical issues.
- Collaborate with senior engineers as necessary and offer emergency solutions outside of regular hours as per the departmental schedule.
- Work closely with various departments to ensure that the project scope aligns with customer expectations.
- Engage in team discussions and contribute positively to the organization’s objectives.
- Commit to personal growth and performance enhancement, participating in performance evaluations and development plans.
- Stay updated with the latest technical knowledge through both internal and external training opportunities.
- Adhere to business-specific applications and processes, including order management, inventory control, timesheet submissions, and job closures.
- Travel between different sites as required during the workday.
Qualifications and Skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electronic Security or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, and Intruder Alarm systems.
- Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems and digital electronics principles.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
- Proficient in TCP/IP and network fundamentals.
Compensation and Work Conditions:
- Overtime and call-out requirements as per company policy.
- Standard working hours: 40 hours per week with optional overtime on Sundays.
- Salary range: £32,000 – £36,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
