Job Title: Senior Research Nurse/ Senior Clinical Research Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Research Nurse/ Senior Clinical Research Practitioner to join our research delivery team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will lead the safe conduct of research in mental health and dementia as part of the NIHR Clinical Research Network South West Peninsula.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the safe conduct of research in mental health and dementia, ensuring compliance with Research Governance Framework and ICH GCP guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with mental health clinical research teams, local clinical research networks, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide information and support to patients and carers, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
  • Contribute clinical trials/research expertise within the Trust.
  • Participate in meetings with other centres involved in clinical trials and attend investigator meetings.
Person Specification:
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner, prioritizing workload and contributing to team efforts.
  • Post-qualification experience of working with patients and carers within mental health or dementia care.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good presentation skills and computer literacy.
