Key Responsibilities

  • Support Registered Nurses in the implementation of patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and individualized care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
  • Take basic observations, such as vital signs, and report any concerns to the nursing team.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing and dressing, and provide personal care as needed.
  • Participate in basic wound care management and assist with patient transfers and mobilization.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including patient pathways and relevant IT reporting systems.
  • Chaperone patients during medical procedures and assist with basic medical tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum G.C.S.E. education or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital environment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn and develop.
  • Comprehensive written and verbal communication skills.
